Based on The Smartphone camera test conducted by camera and lens experts at DxOMark, it is revealed that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus carry the best smartphone camera. Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus achieved an impressive rating of 82 out of 100 and thus beating Sony Xperi z3, Samsung Galaxy S5,and even the 41 MP camera of Nokia 808.
The Test conducted by experts proved tht Megapixel doesn,t matter much when it comes to picture quality. The more megapixel, more is the size of the image but it may or may not be of good quality. when Apple came with the decision of putting 8MP camera they were critised but now they had proved their decision does worth much.
Coming to the test reults, With a Score of 82 out of 100, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus outranked Samsung Galaxy s5 , Sony Xperia Z3 and Sony Xperia Z2 ,which got 79 points.
" From our industry-stantard series of tests both in the lab and real world use, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S perform very similarly ", DxOMark describes.
" They have good, generlly reliable auto-exposure in a wide range of lighting conditions and they have both fast and accurate autofocus. Output from the 8 Mega pixel stills improves the high level of detail in both outdoor and indoor lighting. In low light, noise reduction is handled well with images revealing fine-grained luminance noise and little of the distracting color (chroma ) noise. ", said the experts
Not every smartphone available at the market was not included in DxOmark tests obviously, some smartphones like LG G3, Galaxy Note 4 etc were omitted. nevertheless, an iOS user would be fully satisfied with picture quality of iPhones latest handsets.
