It is necessary to put a password or pattern lock to your device for your privacy and security reasons. But when you are at your home or any place you have your privacy you certainly don't wish to enter password all the time. Android 5.0 Lolipop comes with a special feature to solve this problem. with this, you can set your home , office or any other place as your "trusted place" and the android will automatically unlock the screen when you are at the trusted place.
Other Android versions (other than Lolipop) can also make use of this facility but they would have to install an app called " Delayed Lock" in their phone. This app is available at the Google Playstore. Delayed Lock app allow you to disable lockscreen screen when you are connected to a specific Wi-Fi Network ( at you house or office ) or when a bluetooth is connected. You can also disable your lockscreen when your phone is charging. you can also set a delay period (say 5 hours). During this period screen lock will be disabled and after the delay period the screen lock will be active so as to keep your device personalized.
