Android 5.0 is the most ambitious and largest release of android since now. The new version is packed with exclusive features for users and thousands of new API's for developers.
Android had brought about some significant changes in the design without much altering the real android experience.
DESIGN
The most relevant change in design is the fresh design aesthetic, called Material. It almost changed all the appearance of android starting from setup menu, android app drawerand notification bar. The new Matrial design provides an expanded UI toolkit for integrating the new design patterns easily in your apps.
The new 3D view gives a more awesome experience to cast real time shadows and to raise the lements off the view hierarchy. Material is purely dynamic and it responds to touch quickly and in a new manner.
NOTIFICATIONS
Notifications in Android 5.0 lolipop is more visible, accessible and configurable compared to the previous versions. Lilipo Keeps the same setup for notification in addition they had added notifications to the lockscreen similar to what is seen on iOS.
Some of the key notification such as notification of incoming call is shown by a small floating window that allows the user to dismiss or respond to the call without exiting the current app.
GRAPHICS
Lolipop comes with a high performance graphics with Khronos OpenGL ES 3.1 which provides ga,es and other apps the highest 2D and 3D graphics vapabilities.The version also comes with the Android Extension Pack (AEP) that gives you some additional features like geometry shadows, ASTC texture compression etc
MULTITASKING
For recent apps list , a new menu called Overview shadow apps that are running in the background as a stack of card will appear, instead of the previous view list. The Main advantage of this is that you can easily browse and switch between different apps quickly.
